Proceed to downtown Johannesburg, where amid the inner city decay is heartening evidence of the many urban regeneration schemes underway. Learn about the workings of the Supreme Court and the symbolism of Gandhi Square before visiting the vibrant Market Theatre.

We take you through the streets of the sprawling township of Soweto, scene of the tragic riots in 1976. Despite crowded, chaotic conditions there is a sense of community in these neighbourhoods. Few who venture into Soweto are unmoved by what they witness.

Garden Route Area

Take a ferry ride across Knysna’s magnificent estuary to a secluded nature reserve, home to a variety of wildlife. On arrival a 4x4 trailer takes you to the summit for a spectacular panorama of the Knysna basin and the sea. Stroll through a milkwood forest and the coastline and enjoy a lunch under the milkwood trees.
